I am David Resler and I retired in November 2012 from Nomura Securities International, Inc., where for the better part of the previous 27 years I served as that firm's Chief Economist. In a 2002 Wall Street Journal news story, Jon Hilsenrath dubbed me the "top dog" among economists who continuously participated in the Journal's semi-annual economic forecast surveys. Hence, the title of this website. Here, I post my occasional musings about a wide range of economic and policy matters.
